  • Carbon-Specific Pads
    Carbon-specific pads are designed for use with carbon fibre rims, which are prevalent in high-end road cycling and racing. Standard brake pads can cause damage to carbon rims, so these pads use special compounds to deliver optimal braking performance without harming the rims. They offer precise stopping power and are engineered to handle the high heat generated during braking on steep descents.

Factors to Consider When Choosing Brake Pads

  1. Riding Conditions: Wet, dry, muddy, or dusty conditions can greatly influence the type of brake pads you need. Organic pads excel in dry conditions but may wear out quickly in wet environments, where sintered pads shine.
  2. Type of Riding: If you're into aggressive downhill or enduro riding, sintered pads with higher heat resistance and longevity are a better fit. For casual or road biking, organic pads offer a quieter and smoother braking experience.
