BEST FIRST TRAIL BIKE

The Marin Bobcat Trail is the bike experienced riders recommend to friends starting out mountain biking and a trusty steed for those who appreciate the simplicity of a hardtail with modern features. Perfect for singletrack exploration, cross-country loops, and casual trail riding, the Bobcat Trail delivers a fun and confidence-inspiring ride for new and seasoned riders alike.

BUILT TO LAST

Built on a lightweight Series 2 aluminium frame, the Bobcat Trail features modern trail geometry for a balanced ride on varied terrain. The 120mm-travel suspension fork soaks up bumps for a comfortable ride, while a 1x drivetrain simplifies shifting and reduces maintenance. Dropper post compatibility allows for future upgrades, and internal cable routing keeps the bike looking clean and sleek.

27.5 OR 29ER

The Bobcat Trail is available with 27.5” or 29” wheels to optimize rider fit and trail experience. Sizes XS – Medium are available with 27.5” wheels to maximize standover, sizes Medium – XL with 29” wheels are best suited for taller riders.

WHERE IT BEGAN

Marin's roots are tangled with the very beginnings of mountain biking. Founded in Marin County, California, the birthplace of the sport, This rich heritage fuels their passion to this day. Now, Marin pushes those boundaries further with riders like Matt Jones, constantly innovating to redefine what's possible on a mountain bike.

TRAIL READY SUSPENSION

Experience plush performance with the 120mm-travel SR Suntour XCR LOR-DS BOOST coil-sprung fork. The BOOST thru-axle adds stiffness and strength for a more responsive and controlled ride, while preload and rebound adjustments let you dial in the perfect suspension setup for your needs.

SHIMANO CUES 1X11 DRIVETRAIN

The Shimano CUES 1x11 drivetrain simplifies your ride with a single chainring and intuitive shifting. The clutched rear derailleur and narrow-wide chainring keep the chain securely in place, even on bumpy terrain, minimizing chain slap and reducing the risk of dropped chains. The wide-range 11-48t cassette provides ample gears for tackling the climbs.

HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKES

Tektro M280 hydraulic disc brakes give you reliable stopping power in all weather conditions. These brakes are easy to use and require less hand strength than other types, so you can stop quickly and confidently on any trail. The larger 180mm front rotor provides additional stopping power for steep descents.

FUTUREPROOF WHEELS

The Marin double-wall aluminum rims are tough and tubeless-compatible, meaning you can upgrade to tubeless tires in the future for fewer flats, more grip, and a smoother ride but the stock WTB Trail Boss Comp tires offer excellent grip on dirt, so you can confidently explore new trails.
